i think i've nearly made my mind up

I've been spending my spare time in the last week debating whether to get a Nikon D80 or a D40. And, no, I don't want to look at other makes - it's been Nikon for me for the last 30 years.

The former has more specs, is heavier and more expensive. The latter is smaller but still impressive. Do I go for the D80, which is very enticing, and then discover that I keep it at home, because it's so heavy? Like my SLR. I think I'm veering towards the D40.... Better to have something I'll use than something more scrumptious, that I don't.

I veered - it's the D80 after all. (I can use some of the lenses etc that I already have). Battery charging. So excited.
