One of the new residents at the Tengye Ling Temple were I go used to be Margaret Atwood personal assistant (until she moved in to the Temple). I have never read anything of her but I heard she is a famous Canadian writer. Keep us posted on how is the book... :)
ooooooooooh. "The Penelopiad." What did you think of it?
I loved it, but not as much as I loved "Blind Assassin," which was one of those books that made me a little sad when I was done with it-- because I wanted more! And yet, the book was perfect in and of itself and I wouldn't have asked for anything about it to be changed.
"Oryx and Crake" was my first foray into Atwood territory. I thought it quite similar to the story-within-the-story-within-the-story in "B.A." Haunting, beautiful.
Do you ever read Mighty Girl? She's a huge Atwood fan as well and is actually the reason I got into the author (she posted some favorite excerpts).

I've actually never read a single bit of Margaret Atwood. But I always meant to. I got sidetracked by diving headlong into Ursula LeGuin.
Ah, well, I certainly can understand that - I love her books too

PS. I am glad to hear that you are on Vox!
You have a treat in store, Tyson, if you put her books on your shopping list.
And welcome to Vox - I'm enjoying writing on this as well as the other 'more serious' blog
I think it would be a great idea especially for our long Canadian winters. I will get some recommendations from you...
I am so happy to see you on Vox!!! This is a great site and I love using it already! Are there many Buddhist on here?

It was entertaining as a story, but I have to admit, she is a BAAAAD writer!!!
