I've always thought of these as angels - in a lightly fanciful way - and I'm not going to change the mind of awe and delight just because of a bit of science, she says firmly. If I want to hang on to a bit of delusion, this is a fairly harmless one. (I have far more difficult delusions than this, I'm sure!)

I was just speaking to someone yesterday about these. I've never seen one, but came across them via Snopes of all places.
