Security experts are warning about a stealthy Windows virus that steals login details for online bank accounts. In the last month, the malicious program has racked up about 5,000 victims - most of whom are in Europe. Many are falling victim via booby-trapped websites that use vulnerabilities in Microsoft's browser to install the attack code.

Gosh, we are so with it - oh, I'm not quite old enough to be a silver surfer. But not far off:
So-called "silver surfers" dedicate an average of 42 hours a month to the World Wide Web, compared with 37.9 hours among 18 to 24-year-olds.

Here's a map of the internet, mapped onto the traditional London Underground (Tube) map.
'I'd be lost without it' was the caption, underneath the a picture of the Tube map, that was printed on Tshirts that I sold to the London tourist trade for a short time in the mid '70s

We're not the only people to be upset with Google's censorship:
Snip from a post on the Wired News blog Threat Level:

African millionaire cosmonaut takes on Microsoft
|
By Rebecca Harrison
JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South African magnate Mark Shuttleworth has already conquered space. Now he's set his sights on cyberspace where he hopes to challenge Microsoft.
Shuttleworth made his fortune by selling an Internet company he started in his Cape Town garage. He then spent $20 million (11 million pounds) on becoming the world's second space tourist in 2002, and the first African in orbit.
Now, he is taking on U.S. technology behemoth Microsoft by pioneering free computer software that he hopes will revolutionise the way computers are used, and make the Internet accessible to millions in Africa and other emerging markets.
